Al Jazeera channel honors the martyrs of Gaza

Watan-The Qatari Al Jazeera channel honored the martyrs of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing since October 7th of the past year.

Al Jazeera listed the names of the martyrs of the war on Gaza (exceeding 31,000) in the studio adorned with them on the first night of the holy month of Ramadan.

A moving speech from the presenter Iman Ayad

Iman Ayad, the Al Jazeera presenter, delivered a poignant speech, stating that the daily life of killing through bombing and hunger in Gaza has persisted for 156 days.

She added, “Tens of thousands of martyrs, here around us, you see their names because they are not just numbers. No family in the Gaza Strip has been spared the loss of loved ones.”

She pointed out that the lists of names include all families, to the extent that entire families have disappeared from the civil registry in Gaza.

She noted that the martyrs of Gaza were killed, whether by bombardment, airstrikes, the destruction of residential areas, or the war on hospitals, culminating in a famine that claims the lives of hundreds of thousands.

Iman Ayad highlighted the recording of the names of 31,045 individuals, each with a name, family, and a story to be told.

The war on Gaza continues

The war on Gaza continues, as since October 7th of the past year, the occupying army has been waging a destructive war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in more than 31,000 martyrs, mostly children and women.

The Israeli offensive, with its policy of destroying neighborhoods and residential areas over the heads of its inhabitants, has caused massive infrastructure damage and a humanitarian catastrophe, leading Tel Aviv to stand trial before the International Court of Justice on charges of “genocide.”

Israel pursued a policy of destroying neighborhoods and residential areas above the heads of its inhabitants, and it targeted hospitals either through bombing or invasion.

It also adopted a policy of starvation that prevailed in the sector, especially in its northern part, with its refusal to allow aid to enter by land.
