Ramadan Calls for Solidarity: Sheikh Ali Al-Qaradaghi Urges Muslims to Support Palestinians Amidst Ongoing Israeli Aggression
Umrah money, prayers, and pressure.. Ali Al-Qaradaghi presents a series of commandments to Muslims to relieve Gaza in Ramadan

Watan-The head of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Ali Al-Qaradaghi, revealed what is required of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan to support the Palestinians amidst the war waged by the Israeli occupation army on the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qaradaghi said in a statement to Anadolu Agency: “Ramadan is the month of victories, jihad, blessings, generosity, and goodness. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the most generous of people, and the nation should follow his example in the kind of generosity that must reach the stage of preference.”

He added, “I call on my nation to hasten towards goodness, to be generous with everything they can, and to feel what our brothers in Gaza are going through in terms of hunger, thirst, and illness.”

He continued, “It is not permissible for our nation to engage in extravagance and wastefulness, as it has done in previous years, in the name of the month of Ramadan. We must offer (to the people of Gaza) everything we can.”

Al-Qaradaghi issued a fatwa, saying, “I advise the person who wants to perform a recommended Umrah during Ramadan to give the value of the recommended Umrah to our brothers in Gaza, as his reward with Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, will be greater than that.”

He added, “I also call on my brothers to pray and supplicate to Allah. I call on the preachers to dedicate their Friday sermons to Gaza. They should press governments in a peaceful manner, without causing any harm, whether through peaceful protests or any other form of demonstration, to stop this aggression.”

Intensive Israeli Raids

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the occupation army continues its brutal war on the Gaza Strip, intensifying air raids across the region.

The people of Gaza welcomed Ramadan amid intense Israeli airstrikes during the pre-dawn and morning hours, targeting residential homes.

Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes in various areas of Gaza, especially in the southern city of Rafah, and the Nusseirat refugee camp in the central part of the Strip.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli warplanes launched more than 40 airstrikes targeting homes, agricultural lands, and main roads in the Nusseirat camp.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were killed in the bombing that targeted a house during the pre-dawn hours in the Jeneina neighborhood in the southern city of Rafah.

The War on Gaza Continues

Since October 7th of last year, the occupation army has been waging a destructive war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 31,000 people, mostly children and women.

The aggressive war, carried out by the Israeli occupation army, left massive destruction in infrastructure and a humanitarian catastrophe, leading Tel Aviv to face charges of committing “genocide” before the International Court of Justice.

Israel pursued a policy of destroying neighborhoods and residential areas above the heads of its inhabitants, placing hospitals on its list of targets, either by bombing or invasion.

It also adopted a policy of starvation, especially in the northern part of the Strip, by refusing to allow aid to enter by land.
