Houthi Call for Airdrop Weapons to Gaza: Arab Regimes Face Embarrassment Amidst Calls for Palestinian Resistance Support
Arming the Resistance through Airdrops

Watan-The Houthi group in Yemen embarrassed Arab regimes regarding their support for Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation and its aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council of the Houthi group, stated in a post on his “X” platform account: “There is a very important opportunity that I hope Arab regimes, which provide aerial assistance, will seize. This opportunity involves dropping weapons to the isolated Palestinians in Gaza since the airdrop is not monitored.”

He added, “This is an honorable task in the face of an enemy committing genocide, and no law or other measures have been able to stop the genocide and massacres in Gaza. By arming Gazans, the genocide will cease.”

Hamas calls on the Muslim Ummah to arm the resistance

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” had earlier called on the Islamic Ummah to support the resistance with weapons.

Haniyeh stated in a speech during a conference of the World Union of Muslim Scholars: “The role of the Ummah and its scholars must be significant in supporting the resistance. We see that countries around the world are supplying weapons to the occupation through air bridges and aircraft carriers. It is time to support the resistance with weapons because this is the battle for Al-Aqsa, not just the battle of the Palestinian people alone.”*

Abu Ubaida mocks Arab regimes

Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, sparked reactions with his comments about the absence of Arab regimes’ support for the resistance to repel Israeli aggression.

Abu Ubaida, mocking Arab regimes in his statement, said: “To the leaders and rulers of our Arab nation, we say to you before the battle you are watching unfold on your screens… We do not ask you to move to defend the Arab and Islamic children in Gaza by mobilizing your armies and tanks, may God forbid.”

His words, mocking Arab regimes for their military intervention to stop the ongoing aggression in Gaza, circulated widely on social media platforms, ranking as the most widely shared content on the “X” platform in multiple Arab countries.
