Watan-The Israeli media celebrated the coordination between Morocco and the occupation to drop some aerial aid over the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been enduring a continuous and brutal war for over 5 months.
Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, especially in its northern parts, face dire conditions after more than five months of ongoing war and intense bombardment.
The Israeli broadcasting authority “KAN” reported the commencement of Moroccan aerial aid drops in the north of Gaza.
Six Moroccan planes coordinating with the occupation
It pointed out that six “Hercules” transport planes belonging to the Royal Moroccan Air Force are on their way to Israel. These planes will land at Ben Gurion Airport to refuel before taking off to drop humanitarian supplies in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli authority clarified that the aerial landing operation was coordinated with Israel and would take place on the first days of the month of Ramadan.

Reasons for the aerial drops
Countries have resorted to aerial drops citing difficulties in distributing aid through land routes.
Both the United States and Jordan have conducted aerial drops in northern Gaza.
It is worth noting that U.S. President Joe Biden announced the deployment of the U.S. military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary maritime dock in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Gaza.
Malicious U.S. proposal
However, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, Michael Fakhri, condemned the U.S. proposal, considering it “malicious.” Fakhri argued that the United States simultaneously provides bombs, ammunition, and financial support to Israel while claiming to be eager to deliver aid.
At least five people were killed near the city of Gaza when they were directly hit by aid dropped from American planes, while a larger number were injured.
This occurred despite the U.S. Central Command’s denial of responsibility for mistakenly dropping aid in Gaza.
