Watan-The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the crash of a military cargo plane carrying 15 people on board after taking off from an airport in northeast Moscow.
A statement from the ministry via Telegram stated that “a military transport plane of the IL-76 model crashed in the Ivanovo region.”
The statement clarified that the crash occurred after the military plane took off on a previously scheduled flight with 8 crew members and 7 passengers on board.
Regarding the reason for the Russian plane crash, the ministry explained that it was due to a fire erupting in one of its engines, with news reports indicating that there were no survivors.

Video clips circulated on social media showed the plane crashing with flames erupting from one of its engines.
A column of black smoke was seen rising in the sky as a helicopter hovered in the air, as reported by abcnews and observed by Watan.
