Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza: The Struggle for Aid Access Amidst Occupation Obstruction
"Scissors" used by the occupation to prevent aid from entering Gaza

Watan-A UN official launched an attack on the Israeli occupation for its stubbornness in allowing aid into the Gaza Strip, deliberately obstructing it with flimsy excuses, while the besieged territory has been experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe and tragedy for months.

Through his official account on the “X” platform, Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, criticized Israel, stating that the occupation authorities refused to allow entry to a truck carrying aid destined for Gaza this week.

Lazzarini attributed this refusal to the fact that the mentioned shipment contained “scissors” as part of medical supplies for children.

The occupation prevents aid from entering Gaza with flimsy excuses

The occupation prevents aid from entering Gaza with flimsy excuses, which Israel used to stop the entry of the aid truck, claiming that such tools have “dual use”, meaning they can be used for civilian and military purposes.

Philippe Lazzarini emphasized the utmost importance of delivering supplies to the Gaza Strip as quickly as possible, pointing out that “the lives of two million people depend on it; there is no time to waste.”

The occupation continues its massacres on the third day of the blessed month of Ramadan, ongoing since last October, targeting civilians in various areas of the Gaza Strip, leaving more martyrs and wounded, while continuing to escalate its military operations in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The World Food Programme announced the delivery of aid to around 25,000 people in Gaza City for the first time since February 20th.

As the risk of famine increases in the north, the program called for allowing daily access to aid and opening direct access points to the northern Gaza Strip.

UNRWA also revealed that the number of child victims in Gaza exceeds the number of child victims in four years of conflicts worldwide.
