Watan-Social media activists circulated a video clip of an Egyptian citizen crying bitterly for his inability to support Gaza, much like millions of Egyptians who are restrained by the regime of Sisi with fire and iron.
The citizen appeared in the circulated video, which received significant attention, walking on one of the streets and saying, “Open the borders for us, let us go die with them… I would commit suicide, and at least, God, I wouldn’t have to live through what is happening.”
Continuing to cry bitterly, he said, “I don’t know how to live my life, I don’t know how to do anything, I don’t know how to fast or break my fast.”
He acknowledged that what is happening is very painful and pushes a person towards explosion and suicide.
He added, “What can we do? We are unable to do anything, and we know that we cannot move because the ruler demanded that we do not move and we must remain silent,” raising his voice loudly, “I can’t, oh Lord.”
“افتحولنا نروح نموت معاهم.. حانتحر وقله يا رب مكنتش قادر أعيش من اللي بيحصل.. مش عارفين نتحرك عشان الحاكم أمر منتحركش.. فهمتوا الجندي الأمريكي حرق نفسه ليه؟ “.. مصري يبكي بحرقة لعجزه عن نصرة غزة.#حرب_غزة pic.twitter.com/qQZs9yHaan

The American soldier who burned himself
He clarified, “Do you understand why the American soldier burned himself? Because the situation cannot be endured by a normal human being.” He lifted his head high and continued his lamentation, saying, “I swear to God, I’m exhausted.”
The Egyptian citizen who appeared in the video disclosed that he prays for his life to end during prayers because he can no longer tolerate this situation, “and his brothers in Gaza are dying of hunger or being slaughtered every day by the brutal occupying forces.” He concluded, “Send us there, let us die with them… May God avenge you.”
Unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe
Despite the advent of Ramadan, Israel continues its destructive war on the Gaza Strip since October 7th last year, resulting in tens of thousands of civilian casualties, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction.
