Unveiling Political Dynamics in the Gaza War: Azmi Bishara’s Critique and the Fractured Palestinian Discourse
Watan-The description of the renowned Arab thinker Dr. Azmi Bishara’s blame of some for what is happening in Gaza as “moral blindness and settling political scores,” affirming that there is no justification in the world for the crimes of Israeli occupation even for those who do not support armed resistance.
Azmi Bishara stated in a tweet on his platform: “There is no justification in the world for Israeli crimes against Palestinians, even in the eyes of those who do not support armed resistance, and for those who support it but did not get enthusiastic about the Al-Aqsa flood operation.”
Blaming Hamas shows a lack of wisdom and rationality
He added, apparently sending a veiled message to Fatah without mentioning it by name after its recent aggressive statement against Hamas: “Morally stirring up feelings and mobilizing all energies to stop these crimes is necessary. But there are those who see it fitting, even at this stage, to demonstrate their argumentative abilities in criticizing Palestinian resistance for its poor calculations and appreciation of outcomes, which has become very easy.”
He continued: “The challenge is to diagnose that from day one, otherwise, what distinguishes those who are holding them accountable now after the extent of Israeli crimes has become clear?”

Azmi Bishara concluded in his tweet that: “Blaming the resistance at this stage is not a sign of rationality and wisdom, but rather an expression of muddled political settling of scores, evidence of moral blindness, and venting of protest against what Israel is doing, and perhaps paving the way for complicity.”
The Fatah movement issued a statement that sparked widespread anger and sharp criticism, attacking the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, saying it condemns and is surprised by Hamas’ talk about uniqueness and division, after describing Palestinian factions’ efforts to form a new Palestinian government without national consensus as “reinforcing the policy of uniqueness and deepening division.”
Palestinian factions, including Hamas, had condemned the assignment of Mustafa to form a new government without national consensus, a step they considered “reinforcing the policy of uniqueness and deepening division,” questioning the usefulness of replacing one government and prime minister with another “from the same political environment.”
