Watan-A wave of anger erupted after circulating footage showing Israeli Minister of War Benny Gantz and officers in the occupying army having an iftar meal at a table hosted by a Bedouin family from the Negev.
Gantz, Knesset member Elon Shuster, and other officers including the army’s spokesperson for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, had their iftar meal at the invitation of Ali al-Zeyadna, as shown in the video where they were seen eating while al-Zeyadna served soup to Gantz and Shuster.
Furious Outcry
These scenes spread like wildfire and sparked widespread anger among activists and politicians on social media platforms.
Academic Sam Youssef said, “Believe it or not! Israeli Minister of War Benny Gantz, Israeli Knesset member Shuster, and others are guests of one of the Negev Bedouin families during an iftar meal in the month of Ramadan. These are individuals who are in solidarity with and whose children participate in the killing and displacement of Palestinians up to this moment.”
Journalist Mohamed Jamal wrote, “Gantz, the Israeli Minister of Occupation (Defense), and Knesset member Shuster at an iftar table during Ramadan with some traitors from the al-Zeyadna family of the Negev Bedouins.”

He added, “How can any of them be described as Arab or Muslim while they feed the occupying killers and assist them in oppressing their brethren in Gaza, denying food to the children of Gaza? We have lived and seen the betrayal that occurred during the era of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi and Nur al-Din Zanki.”
Firas al-Massi commented, “A disgusting and nauseating scene of a group of traitors from the al-Zeyadna family of the Negev Bedouins hosting Defense Minister Gantz, Eila, Adraee, and Knesset member Shuster at the iftar table during Ramadan, waiting for the call to Maghrib to break their fast with the killers of Gaza’s children.”
He added, “How can any of them be described as Arab or Muslim while they feed the occupying killers and assist them in oppressing their brethren in Gaza, denying food to children… May God curse the collaborators, Zionists, pig traitors, and Zionized traitors.”

Al-Zeyadna Supports the War on Gaza
It is noted that al-Zeyadna, who hosted the Israelis, had previously attended a Security Council session to support Israel in its ongoing war on Gaza.

A video clip had previously circulated showing “al-Zeyadna” asking the Palestinian delegate to the Security Council, Riyad Mansour, “What is the fault of my family to be kidnapped?” to which he responded, “Do not let those who kill Palestinians exploit you.”
