Misinformation Warfare: Fabricated Video Alleges Omani Minister’s Remarks on Gaza

Watan-Suspicious Zionist accounts fabricated a video clip of Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi, adding subtitles unrelated to what he actually said in an interview with the American network “CNN,” making it appear as if he was attacking Hamas and the “Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa” in a blatant manner, which was picked up by Hebrew media outlets and others affiliated with the Zionist entity.

According to the fabricated video, the Omani Foreign Minister was falsely attributed as saying, “Regardless of everything we have seen and continue to see of heinous acts and despite the terrifying actions carried out by Hamas – according to the fabrication – and the destruction caused by Israel in Gaza and the loss of 30,000 lives, both Israel and Hamas must be part of shaping the solution.”

Zionist accounts promoted the fabricated clip

Zionist accounts promoted the fabricated clip, while Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi stated in the original interview with “CNN” that the world “witnesses a deliberate policy of starvation” by Israel against the people of Gaza and that there is an opportunity to reach a historic solution to end the tragedy.

Al-Busaidi expressed his belief that the United States still has the potential to be a peace mediator and replicate the historic agreement between Israel and the Palestinians in the 1990s. He emphasized that the Islamic resistance movement Hamas must be part of any solution to the Palestinian issue, expressing his rejection of excluding it.

He stressed the importance of holding an international peace conference in the Middle East “to reach a final, just, and sustainable settlement to the Palestinian issue, through adopting the two-state solution, in line with the vision of the Sultanate of Oman for a permanent peace in Palestine.”

Minister Al-Busaidi highlighted that the Sultanate of Oman is “a peace-loving country” that advocates for spreading the values of peace and coexistence worldwide, does not support violence, and does not endorse destroying people’s lives anywhere. He emphasized that one cannot imagine the continuation of atrocities in the Gaza Strip without pointing fingers at the Israeli occupation.

The Israeli occupation has been waging a brutal and destructive war since October 27, 2023, on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands, mostly women and children, according to Palestinian, international human rights, and media reports.
