Watan-“Saraya al-Quds,” the military arm of the Islamic Jihad Movement, published scenes from inside the “combat zones” featuring elite fighters from its brigade in Northern Gaza during the blessed month of Ramadan, the “month of Jihad and resistance.”
These scenes confirmed the continued full military control of Saraya al-Quds over the northern sector of the Gaza Strip, and the failure of the Israeli military operation.
During the Israeli aggression, the public became familiar with the term “combat zones,” often used by the Hamas spokesperson Abu Ubaida. He frequently mentioned in several of his speeches, “There are hundreds of fighters in the combat zones eagerly awaiting their jihadist role.”
The video published by the media affiliated with Saraya al-Quds showed several resistance fighters carrying their weapons descending through a stone staircase into a tunnel. Upon descent, some of them repeated, “We pledge allegiance to martyrdom, we are the soldiers of the brigade.”
In another scene, fighters were seen sitting while one of them said, “Today, Ramadan dawns upon us within the battle of the storm of Al-Aqsa.”
He continued, “From here, from the depths of the earth, from the combat tunnels of Saraya al-Quds, the Northern Brigade, the elite unit, we send our greetings to the Yemen of Arabism and resistance in Lebanon, and to the Jenin Brigade and the brave factions of the West Bank.” He concluded, “Wishing you all a blessed year.”

Targeting a Drone
The video then depicted a fighter from the Northern Brigade observing a drone flying in the sky through binoculars, identifying it as an Israeli drone marked with a red triangle.
Another fighter beside him aimed his loaded machine gun, reciting the Quranic verse, “And you did not throw when you threw, but it was Allah who threw,” and added, “In honor of our martyrs and prisoners, Allah is the greatest, and all praise be to Allah.” Then, in a moment, the drone was targeted with bullets.
“Saraya al-Quds,” specifically the Jenin Brigade, mourned its martyrs, Ahmed Hani Barkat, Mahmoud Rahal, and Mohammed al-Fayyad, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Jenin, as well as the execution of the spy who betrayed them, revealed by his brother after being exposed.
It is worth mentioning that the “combat zones” mentioned in the Saraya al-Quds video refer to small decentralized cells of resistance fighters ranging in number from 3 to 5 individuals when carrying out individual combat operations, and the number can increase to more than 10 fighters in complex military operations.
