Tensions Rise as Palestinian Security Forces Clash with Mourners Following Israeli Attacks on West Bank Martyrs

Watan-Video footage has emerged showing the Palestinian Authority security forces firing live ammunition at the funeral procession of several martyrs killed by Israeli occupation forces in the city of Jenin in the West Bank.

The footage captured the moment when gunfire was heavily unleashed on the mourners of the bodies, amidst a state of chaos in the area, resulting in at least four people being injured.

Clashes erupted in Jenin, northern West Bank, after the Palestinian security forces opened fire on the funeral procession of the martyrs targeted by the occupation forces with a drone attack on their vehicle.

Prior to the burial of the martyrs’ bodies, demands were made not to bury them until the Palestinian Authority released the detainees from the Jenin Brigade, allowing them to bid farewell to their martyr friends.

Meanwhile, as the funeral procession of the martyrs headed towards the district headquarters in Jenin to demand the release of the detainees, security forces fired live ammunition and sound bombs at them.

This comes as local sources reported that armed individuals responded by opening fire, leading to an armed clash at the scene.

The burial ceremonies of the three martyrs continued amidst ongoing clashes between the gunmen and the security forces.
