Watan-D’aach broadcasted a video of the armed attack it claimed responsibility for in the Russian capital, Moscow, which left dozens dead.

The video showed the moment when D’aach militants opened fire heavily on those present in the hall where a cultural event was being held.

The video also depicted the process of one of the attack’s victims being slaughtered by one of the perpetrators.

One of the D’aach members kept repeating, “The infidels will be defeated, Allah willing… Allah is great, the infidels will be defeated… We have gone out for the sake of Allah and the support of his religion.”

D’aach had claimed responsibility for the attack on a music concert hall near Moscow, which resulted in the deaths of at least 143 people and injuries to dozens, on Friday.

11 people arrested

Meanwhile, the Kremlin announced the arrest of 11 individuals, including the four direct perpetrators involved in the armed attack.

The Kremlin stated that the Federal Security Service is working to identify the entity colluding with those who committed the attack.

According to Russian reports, the attackers stormed the Crocus Hall during a rock music concert armed with automatic weapons, firing at security personnel at the entrance of the hall before opening fire on the audience.

The Russian Investigative Committee stated that they set fire to the building using “flammable liquid.”

Putin’s comment

Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to hold all those responsible for the armed attack accountable, declaring Sunday a national day of mourning and describing the attack as “a heinous terrorist act.”

Putin said in a televised address that the four militants who carried out the attack on Crocus Hall in the Krasnogorsk suburb northwest of the capital were arrested before they could cross the border into Ukraine.

He added, “They were heading towards Ukraine where they had a window to cross the border, according to preliminary information.”

He continued, “We will identify the identity of everyone behind the terrorists and everyone who prepared the attack… They will face an enviable fate.”

Ukrainian response

Ukraine denied responsibility for the attack. It also denied any responsibility for recent armed incursions into Russian territory by units of fighters loyal to Kiev.
