Boycott Success: California Protesters Strike Blow Against Israeli Occupation Supporter
Watan-The “Sadaf” food company, known for its support of the Israeli occupation, has suffered a severe blow after protesters successfully prevented the supply of its goods to an Arab market in Orange County, California.
In solidarity with Palestinians, particularly after the October 7, 2023 war, citizens from various countries worldwide have been boycotting products and companies supporting the occupation, including numerous American institutions or those with branches in the United States.
Stores in Orange County, California, responded to protesters participating in boycott campaigns against companies supporting the occupation by removing Sadaf’s products from their shelves, dealing the company an unexpected blow.
Sadaf’s headquarters is located in California and it has been known for its continuous support of the occupation, marketing settlement products, and dealing with Israeli banks.
Repeated calls for boycotting Sadaf
The Palestinian community network in the United States has repeatedly called for boycotting the company and removing its products from Arab and Palestinian markets in the US.
Sadaf promotes Palestinian cuisine such as falafel and hummus as Israeli, as part of the occupation’s plan to attempt to erase Palestinian heritage abroad, especially in terms of food products and Palestinian industries, according to Wafa news agency.
The “fightbacknews” website reported that the company incurred significant losses due to the response of many stores to the boycott call, while protesters are working to track all of Sadaf’s activities and events to escalate protests against its continuous support for the occupation.
Protesters have confirmed that boycotting Sadaf Foods and any other Zionist companies will continue by any means necessary.

An Iranian Jewish family owns the company!
Ironically, Sadaf is owned by an Iranian Jewish family in the United States and has consistently declared its absolute support for the state of Israel, as confirmed by Palestinian journalist and editor-in-chief of the “Watan” website, Nizam al-Mahdawi.
Al-Mahdawi tweeted: “Some Arab activists were forced to protest in front of some Arab markets that carry Sadaf products, knowing that these products soaked in the blood of Palestinians are still displayed and sold in most Arab and Islamic stores that sell halal meat without any moral scruples.”
The Palestinian journalist emphasized that the irony is “that whether Iranian, Shiite, or Jewish, they are the most hostile to Arabs,” adding, “Most Arab merchants are only concerned with financial profits.”
It is worth mentioning that the number of Arab immigrants in the United States is estimated at about 5 million, with some pointing to numbers reaching 8 million, due to the absence of official statistics related to Arabs as an ethnic group that have not been classified yet. Statistics indicate that the number of American Muslims exceeds 12 million.
Various calls in several Arab countries have been made to boycott American products, following Washington’s rush to throw its military and diplomatic weight behind Israel in its war against Gaza.
Of the 22 Arab countries, 6 have official relations with Israel: Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan, with trade agreements supporting the occupation. Halting or threatening to halt these agreements could have had a significant impact on the situation in Gaza.
