Netanyahu’s Dilemma: Scrutiny Over Gaza Aid Amid Claims of Hamas Eradication
Examining Netanyahu's Troublesome Defense and International Reaction

Watan-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu found himself in an extremely embarrassing and speechless situation regarding his claims to the West about eliminating Hamas in Gaza, especially in the north.

During a televised interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, when asked, “Why are the people of Gaza starving and aid is being withheld from them?” he responded, “To prevent Hamas from seizing it.”

At this point, the anchor quickly embarrassed him by reminding him that he claimed to have destroyed Hamas in the north.

She continued, “If Hamas isn’t present in the north, how can they steal food?”

The anchor asked Netanyahu, “Why not allow more trucks to enter Gaza through border crossings to feed the civilians who are starving while continuing to eliminate Hamas – as the channel put it?”

Netanyahu claimed in response to the question that the problem isn’t about allowing trucks in; rather, once they enter, they are looted by Hamas or gangs, as he alleged.

The anchor countered Netanyahu’s claims by saying, “If more crossings were opened and more food was brought into the area, allowing the starving to eat, maybe the looting would stop. It’s human nature.”

The United States abstained from using its veto power on Resolution 2728 today, despite 14 countries voting in favor of a resolution for an immediate ceasefire during Ramadan and the exchange of hostages and prisoners.

This refusal to use the veto angered the Zionists, who accused the Security Council of anti-Semitism. In response to the resolution, Netanyahu canceled the sending of a security delegation scheduled to go to Washington.
