Watan-A British website has revealed the Arab countries that played a major role in supporting the brutal war waged by the Israeli occupation army on the Gaza Strip.
According to Middle East Monitor, new data has shown that several Arab countries assisted Israel in its war on Gaza by providing oil and fuel to the occupation throughout the ongoing conflict.
According to a report by Oil Change International, the new data, which tracked the supply chains of crude oil and refined products to Israel, revealed that the largest supplier of imported aircraft fuel to the Israeli army is, unsurprisingly, the United States.
Specifically manufactured for military aircraft, the fuel was part of massive American military aid to the occupation, making it a key element in Israeli airstrikes on Palestinians in the besieged enclave.
Four Arab countries
Four Arab countries serve as a major source of Israel’s crude oil imports, which come through the SUMED pipeline, receiving regular fuel shipments from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Egypt – countries through which the pipeline passes.
Russia is another state that played a role in supplying Israel with fuel, reportedly providing a continuous flow of Vacuum Gas Oil (VGO) – typically upgraded to gasoline and diesel – to a major refinery in Haifa.
Brazil is also listed, having delivered two shipments of Brazilian crude oil totaling 260,000 tons to Israel since December.
Initially sourced from jointly owned offshore fields by Shell and Total Energies, along with the state-owned Petrobras in Brazil.
Supplying Israel with fuel to continue its war on Gaza
Supplying Israel with fuel to continue its war on Gaza sheds more light on the role of many countries and multinational corporations in supplying Israel with the necessary fuel to continue its bombing and invasion of Gaza.
This comes at a time when activists and human rights figures are increasingly calling on governments and companies to impose an energy embargo on Israel by halting all fuel shipments to the occupying state until it ends the war on Gaza and the countless war crimes committed there.
The report states that countries, as well as oil and gas companies, must be held accountable for their role in perpetuating violence and human rights violations.
Eli Rosembloom, American Program Director at Oil Change International, stated that these countries “are fueling the Israeli war machine and are complicit in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.
