Hamas leader's statements

Watan-A leader in the Hamas movement launched a fierce attack on the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, accusing him of destroying Gaza, participating in the massacre of its people, besieging them, and claiming that he is no different from Netanyahu.

The leader, Talal Nassar, said in a television interview when asked by the host about Egypt’s refusal to allow entry through Rafah, responded in a decisive and angry tone: “Egypt is part of our siege and killing… There is no difference between Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Netanyahu, and anyone who distinguishes between them is the dumbest person on earth.”

He added, “Abdel Fattah is besieging us… Abdel Fattah is killing us and destroying us.”

Furthermore, the Hamas leader continued his attack on the Egyptian president, stating, “He lies to us and to the Egyptian people, swearing false oaths and fabrications.”

Nassar claimed that Egypt, under el-Sisi’s leadership, is “part of our killing, slaughter, and siege.”

After the overthrow of the late Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s seizure of power, Egypt has consistently considered Hamas a terrorist group responsible for most events in the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. Egyptian media have accused Hamas of squandering Palestinian rights and deepening the division between Gaza and the West Bank.

Users on the “X” social media platform emphasized the validity of Nassar’s statements, affirming el-Sisi’s responsibility for what is happening in Gaza.

One user commented, “He’s not fooling us, we know he’s a liar, but we can’t do anything.”

Another, Mohamed El-Hajj, urged Talal Nassar to be kind to Egyptians who are involved, as he claimed, in wars and maneuvers known only to God.

Suhail Al-Janibi remarked, “Of course, this is reality, and everyone knows it, even the occupying entity thanks him on their channels for besieging the people of Gaza.”

Responding sarcastically, another user said, “There is a difference between them; Netanyahu is the master, and the Egyptian is the servant executing his master’s orders.”
