Watan-Sheikh Sadik Al-Ghariani, the Grand Mufti of Libya, issued a fatwa permitting the storming of crossings into Gaza and the West Bank, stating that it is a duty upon Muslims, and it is forbidden for the forces in Egypt and Jordan to prevent people from this storming. He mentioned that anyone who obstructs them is considered to be aligned with the Zionists.
The Mufti of Libya stated in a recorded video that those guarding the crossings around Gaza and the West Bank are forbidden from preventing people from approaching these crossings. He added that people are obligated to enter these crossings to support their brothers, which is a duty to defend their brothers, their entity, the sanctities of Muslims, their mothers, and their women.

Sheikh Al-Ghariani’s fatwa regarding storming the crossings to support Gaza garnered significant attention, especially among activists in Egypt and Jordan, where they demanded their authorities to open the crossings to rescue Palestinians in Gaza.
Earlier, the Mufti of Libyan lands stated that paying money to perform Umrah multiple times is considered a waste of money that should be directed towards the people of Gaza and supporting Palestinian resistance, emphasizing that supporting the people of Gaza takes priority.

The Mufti of Libya emphasized that Muslims should not believe that crowding to perform Umrah is the highest form of worship while the Palestinian people in besieged Gaza are facing genocide, considering it as “negligence and improper behavior”.
Additionally, Sheikh Al-Ghariani condemned, in a video posted on the X platform, the patronage of foreign restaurants that support the Israeli occupation, stating that the money paid to them goes to kill and starve the people of Gaza.
