Fatwa of the Mufti of Libya Regarding Storming Crossings to Support Gaza

Sheikh Al-Ghariani’s fatwa regarding storming the crossings to support Gaza garnered significant attention, especially among activists in Egypt and Jordan, where they demanded their authorities to open the crossings to rescue Palestinians in Gaza.

Earlier, the Mufti of Libyan lands stated that paying money to perform Umrah multiple times is considered a waste of money that should be directed towards the people of Gaza and supporting Palestinian resistance, emphasizing that supporting the people of Gaza takes priority.

The Mufti of Libya emphasized that Muslims should not believe that crowding to perform Umrah is the highest form of worship while the Palestinian people in besieged Gaza are facing genocide, considering it as “negligence and improper behavior”.

Additionally, Sheikh Al-Ghariani condemned, in a video posted on the X platform, the patronage of foreign restaurants that support the Israeli occupation, stating that the money paid to them goes to kill and starve the people of Gaza.
