Watan-In a move that caught attention and sparked widespread reactions, an American couple of Kashmiri and Palestinian origins has created a website to facilitate consumers in boycotting products from companies supporting Israel.
This initiative emerged amidst the war waged by the Israeli army on the Gaza Strip, aiming to support the Palestinian people in their plight.
Regarding the story details, Nadia, of Palestinian descent, stated that the website was born out of her and her Kashmiri husband Shahzad’s desire to take a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their adversity.
She added that the initiative goes beyond sharing images on social media platforms, as it evolved into developing a website called “DisOccupied”.
She noted that the “DisOccupied” website application for mobile phones is still under development.
Shahzad confirmed that he spent hundreds of hours monitoring companies supporting the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in the website development process.

He added, “The message we want to convey to people is about reviewing their consumption habits,” pointing out that most of the funds spent by Zionist organizations to finance illegal Israeli settlements come from private capital.
The new website reveals brands supporting Israel within this context.
Effective boycott campaigns have been launched since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza, after many companies showed support for the occupying state in that brutal war.
Several reports and economic statistics have shown that the boycott has significantly impacted these companies and their revenues.
