Iraqi Hezbollah Allegedly Forms Armed Group in Jordan: Fact or Fiction?
Statement attributed to Hezbollah claims the formation of an armed organization in Jordan

Watan-A statement attributed to Iraqi Hezbollah has circulated on social media, claiming that the party is in the process of forming an armed group in Jordan consisting of 12,000 fighters equipped with explosives and weapons.

Accounts across the platform shared a statement discussing the recruitment of Iraqi Hezbollah for an armed organization and its dispatch coinciding with the human flood that caused a major crisis for the Jordanian ruler King Abdullah II, as well as for Israel, the UAE, and countries supporting Zionist occupation.

The purported statement attributed to the Iranian-affiliated party said: “Islamic resistance in Iraq has prepared itself to equip fighters of Islamic resistance in Jordan.”

The alleged statement added: “The Iranian-affiliated party has provided what meets the needs of 12,000 fighters with light and medium weapons and tons of explosives.”

Observers emphasized the danger of this statement, especially as popular protests in Jordan have had a positive impact on those besieged in Gaza, putting greater pressure on Israeli occupation and its ally, Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

Ahmed wrote: “An Iranian attempt to extend its cancerous hand to Jordan as well.”

Adam mentioned: “Do not expect anything from the Iraqi militias except media bravado; they don’t know how to fight Israel except if they need their weapons. Then they’ll tell you, ‘We are ready to give you our weapons,’ as the known Iraqi generosity appears among the mourning militias.”

Tahir Qarnafal commented: “Those who remained silent on Iran’s intervention in Syria will pay the price today, with Jordan pulling the wagon, and later the Gulf countries will not be spared.”

It is worth noting that widespread protests erupted from all segments of the Jordanian population, demonstrating in the streets to express their support for Palestinians besieged in Gaza and their rejection of ongoing Israeli aggression.

Protesters surrounded the Israeli embassy in the country, leading to clashes with Jordanian security forces in the embassy’s vicinity, where security forces brutally attacked the demonstrators.
