Qatari Minister Commends Egyptian Journalist’s Dedication to Gaza’s Injured Children
Watan-The Qatari Minister of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lolwah Al-Khater, praised an Egyptian newspaper that devoted its time, effort, and money to serve the children of Gaza who are in Egypt for medical treatment.
The Qatari minister said in a post on the X platform: “In this war, as in every crisis, there are three types of people, and each of us must choose our place: those who precede with their goodness, leading every act of generosity, continuing to rise in ranks by exerting themselves with self, effort, and money… neither increasing nor decreasing, immersed in their lives, preoccupied with their concerns, their presence and absence are both significant, perhaps opportunities pass by them without notice, inciting evil, preventing good, even if they disguise themselves as sincere advisers.”
She added: “I encountered this shining example of an Egyptian journalist named Asmaa Khalil, who went to cover events but had nothing left but to leave everything to devote her time, effort, and money to serve the children of Gaza and its women who are in Arish for treatment.”

She continued: “I was surprised by her as we were on the way, she called me to say she was with a group of children from Gaza. We met on the road, and then she sent me this beautiful clip with our beloved little heroes from Gaza. These are just moments, but for Asmaa, her support for them is not just moments but has become a matter of life.”
The Qatari minister also said: “I also don’t forget the colleagues from the Egyptian and Qatari Red Crescent, and I attached pictures of some of them. All of these people in the photos are volunteers who have been away from their families for months, many of them didn’t see their families during Ramadan and maybe won’t see them on Eid… May God reward you, and may He increase people like you, as with people like you, we feel that goodness still exists in people.”
The Egyptian newspaper responded to the Qatari minister’s statement, saying: “Thank you for your kind words and your great feelings.”
