Watan-Former Israeli television presenter and football player Elan Mizrahi said that the Islamic resistance movement Hamas had defeated the occupation and all Western countries.

He wrote in a post on his X platform account: “What has become clearer at this unique moment is that Hamas, a small Palestinian movement, did not only defeat Israel, but the entire West.”

He added: “(Hamas) triumphed on the battlefield and in public opinion. It managed to remarkably benefit from its understanding of the Israeli mentality, and used everything it had with high efficiency.”

He continued: “(Hamas) has not been destroyed or dismantled… It has almost retained every prisoner for 6 months and has not surrendered to any pressure. It remains effective and lethal in a small besieged sector.”

Mizrahi pointed out that history would judge the past six months as one of the most genius and unbelievable achievements in military history.

He noted that by waging this war in this manner, without thinking or feeling, Israel had made Hamas a legend of resistance that would live on in cultural memory throughout the ages.

He concluded his speech by saying: “No one believed they could achieve that. But they did. And they changed history forever. Palestine will not return to what it was before. Hamas won.”

The Israeli occupation army suffered heavy losses in lives and economy, and failed to achieve its goals, after six months since the war on Gaza.

Poll recognizes Netanyahu’s failure

A poll showed that the majority of Israelis believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not managing the war on Gaza well.

The poll, whose results were published by the official Hebrew broadcasting authority, indicated that 68% of Israelis believe that Netanyahu is not managing the war on Gaza well, while 29% said he is managing it well.

The poll mentioned that 45% of Israelis hold Netanyahu responsible for the events of last October 7, while 35% hold the army leadership responsible, and 3% hold Defense Minister Yoav Galant responsible.

According to the poll, 42% of Israelis demanded Netanyahu’s immediate resignation.

Continuous protests in Israel

These results coincide with thousands of Israelis taking to the streets daily to demand early elections, the resignation of the Benjamin Netanyahu government, and the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal.
