Al-Qassam Brigades Unveil “Abarar Ambush”: Unprecedented Footage of Resistance Operations in Gaza
Hamas Military Wing Releases Images of Deadly Attack on Israeli Forces in Gaza Strip

Watan-The military wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, broadcasted scenes of the “Abarar Ambush” conducted against the Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday afternoon, the 27th of Ramadan, from the Zero Point area in the Zana region east of Khan Yunis city in southern Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast scenes from the Abarar Ambush in Zana. A senior source within Al-Qassam Brigades stated that the preparation and setup for this ambush took 50 days in the Zana area, indicating that what appears in the recorded scenes is only a part of the operation and much more remains undocumented.

The source further told Al-Jazeera that, “Based on intelligence information and intensive monitoring, we identified the path of the enemy soldiers and vehicles’ return and prepared the ambush.”

The footage shows Al-Qassam elements during a meeting, drawing up the ambush plan on paper, distributing tasks among fighters, and selecting areas for booby-trapping to trap the occupation soldiers.

The unprecedented scenes included the moment of preparing explosive devices at the site, killing a number of occupation soldiers at the beginning of the complex ambush, sniping others before they could evacuate. Fighters also detonated a booby-trapped house after another force of the occupation fled into it, killing more soldiers, in addition to targeting and detonating two tanks with 105mm shells.

A senior leader in Al-Qassam Brigades commented after the complex ambush in Zana, “This is a small sample of what the defeated army is experiencing in the Gaza Strip, still concealing its losses on orders from Netanyahu, who sacrifices his soldiers and captives for his interests. From Zana, the land you claimed to have secured, we will not leave this matter.”

The Zana Ambush… 9 soldiers killed

Al-Qassam Brigades had announced on April 6th the killing of 14 Israeli soldiers in several operations carried out in Khan Yunis city, south of the Gaza Strip, the most prominent of which was in the Zana area.

Al-Qassam stated on Telegram, “Al-Qassam fighters managed to target 3 Zionist Merkava tanks with Yassin 105 shells, and as soon as the rescue forces advanced to the site and reached the middle of a pre-prepared minefield, they were targeted with the detonation of 3 anti-personnel mines.”

They continued, “Our fighters confirmed the killing of 6 Zionist soldiers, turning them into pieces, and inflicting casualties on others, and the event is still ongoing at the moment in the Zana area east of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip.”

Later, Al-Qassam stated in a follow-up statement, “Our fighters resumed targeting the rescue forces and soldiers who fled the scene and entrenched themselves in one of the houses surrounding the event area with an anti-personnel mine, and our fighters confirmed the killing of 3 Zionist soldiers, turning them into pieces, and injuring others.”

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli occupation army withdrew from Khan Yunis city on Sunday, April 7th, as Israeli media announced the end of ground maneuvers in the sector and the withdrawal of the 98th Brigade from the Khan Yunis area.

The army radio added that only the Nahal Brigade remained in Gaza, operating in the Netzarim corridor separating the north and south of the sector.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz considered on Monday that the Israeli army withdrew its forces from Khan Yunis in southern Gaza Strip on Saturday night without achieving its main objectives.

It also confirmed that the victory sought by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not as close as described.
