Israeli Settler Found Dead near Ramallah Sparks Retaliatory Attacks: Latest Updates

Watan-The Israeli occupation army announced the discovery of the body of the settler, Benjamin Ahmir, who had been missing since yesterday, Friday, in the area of Mlaakhi Hashalom (a settlement outpost located on the lands of the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of the city of Ramallah), while armed settlers launched a series of attacks on several Palestinian villages.

A video clip circulated on social media platforms documenting the first moments of finding the body of the missing settler, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to reach the killers and their accomplices, according to his expression.

The army added that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and that security forces continue to pursue the suspects. Meanwhile, Israeli media indicated that this settler was a shepherd who had not returned with the herd he used to graze in the area.

For his part, Netanyahu said in a statement that the killing of the settler is a “serious crime,” pledging that the army forces would pursue the killers extensively.

In the same context, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that settlers should “allow security forces space to search for the killers.” He added that acts of revenge would make it difficult for security forces to find what he called “the saboteurs,” according to his expression.

On the other hand, the newspaper “Israel Today” reported that settlers attacked a photographer for the Hebrew newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” and broke his hand in the village of Duma, south of Nablus.

This comes as the Israeli occupation army unleashed settlers to carry out extensive attacks in the West Bank on Saturday after finding the settler’s body.

Groups of settlers attacked the villages of Duma, Al-Sawiya, and Qusra south of Nablus, as well as the villages of Al-Mughayyir, Abu Falah, Deir Dibwan, and Turmus’ayya east of Ramallah.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced the injury of 16 Palestinians in confrontations with the occupation and settlers in several villages in Ramallah and Nablus.
