Aid Mishap in Gaza: Egyptian Supplies Cause Panic in Israeli Settlements

Watan-Video footage showed Egyptian aid falling onto one of the settlements near Gaza Strip, despite being intended for Gaza.

These scenes documented the moment of Egyptian aid crates landing in the settlement, initially causing panic among the settlers.

The settlers’ panic

Israeli media reported that the aid parachutes mistakenly landed in Moshav Netiv HaAsara instead of Gaza.

It was added that the aid crates sparked panic among the settlers due to the resemblance between the aid parachutes and glider aircraft used by the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in the October 7th attack.

Glider aircraft use in Operation Sword of Al-Aqsa

Hamas had used glider aircraft during Operation Sword of Al-Aqsa, which began last October 7th.

These scenes astonished Israelis as they watched Hamas fighters descend from glider aircraft and carry out operations with ease.

Criticism of aerial drops

Many criticisms have been raised recently focusing on the emphasis on delivering humanitarian aid via aerial drops to Gaza, considering it an ineffective operation.

Aerial drop operations have previously resulted in the deaths of several Palestinians when aid crates fell on them.

At the same time, many calls have been made to focus on delivering humanitarian aid through land crossings, considering it more feasible in this context.
