Watan-The Minister of Culture and Sports in the occupation government, Miki Zohar, admitted that Israel failed against the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” on October 7, failed against Hezbollah, and will fail against Iran.
Israeli media quoted Zohar as saying, “The Iranian attack must be responded to strongly.”
The Israeli minister added, “The weak response to this unprecedented aggression is a continuation of the outdated concept of rationality and sobriety in the face of savage terrorists.”
He continued, “Israel failed against Hamas and we got October 7, failed against Hezbollah, which constantly attacks us and managed to evacuate the residents of the north, and will fail against Iran, which did not hesitate to directly attack Israel.”
Iran’s attack on Israel
Iran launched a drone and missile attack on Israel on Saturday evening in response to the bombing of its consular section in its embassy in the Syrian capital, Damascus, earlier this April.
Israeli Prime Minister Isaac Herzog described the Iranian attack as a “declaration of war,” while extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said, “The Iranian attack must be responded to forcefully.”
While extremist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich affirmed, “Israel is in existential danger.”
Opportunity to restore the image of the “failed” military institution
With anticipation for Israel’s response to the Iranian attack, the American news agency “Associated Press” stated that Israel’s response to the Iranian attack may be what restores confidence in the military institution, even amidst its faltering in Gaza, after more than six months of Israel declaring war there.
The agency said that the occupation army suffered a painful defeat at the hands of Hamas, which is considered much less equipped than Iran, when Hamas crossed from Gaza on October 7th.
It continued, “This was a powerful blow to Israel’s image as a regional military power, and shattered any sense that it is invincible.”
