Israeli Newspaper Analyzes Biden’s Strategic Edge in Dealing with Iran

Watan-The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth affirmed in an article that Israel’s repelling of Iranian attacks does not change the reality of its failure against the Islamic resistance movement Hamas.

The newspaper quoted an article by the writer Nahum Barnea, in which he mentioned that the impression of failure following Operation Guardian of the Walls and the subsequent war on the Gaza Strip, where Israel failed against Palestinian resistance, cannot be dispelled.

On the other hand, Barnea claimed that there is what he described as a “sharp and clear American veto” preventing any Israeli response that could lead to a wide war with Iran, according to him.

According to the Hebrew newspaper’s article, “this veto is different from the US rejection of the military operation in Rafah, as the former is strict and the latter can be ignored.”

Biden, the biggest beneficiary

According to Nahum Barnea’s description, the biggest winner and beneficiary of the night of the marches is US President Joe Biden, who caught two birds with one stone.

The first benefit achieved by Biden is that he proved to the voters, to Trump, and to himself that Washington, under his leadership, is the dominant military force in the Middle East, according to Barnea’s opinion.

The second benefit is that Biden made it clear to the Israelis that they have no choice but Biden and the arms of his army, and that until now, “it is not known how many marches and rockets they intercepted from the air, land, or sea.”

The Israeli writer pointed out that Biden’s message to Israel is clear that there is no way for any action without coordination with the Americans.

As for the veto from Washington, it is sharp and clear, and at this moment, they have no interest in a wide war with the Iranian side, according to Barnea.
