Behind the Scenes of the ‘Arab al-Aramsha’ Operation: Lebanese March Leads to Israeli Soldiers’ Casualties

Watan-The Israeli occupation army announced on Wednesday that 18 people, including 14 soldiers, were injured in an attack on a building in “Arab al-Aramsha” by a march coming from Lebanon and a number of anti-tank missiles, with 6 of the soldiers in critical condition. The occupation responded to the attack with airstrikes on the plain of “Iaat” in the Bekaa Valley, east of Lebanon.

A circulated video showed a drone coming from the direction of Lebanon descending sharply and quickly exploding at the headquarters of the newly established Military Reconnaissance Secretariat in Arab al-Aramsha, known as the “Community Center.”

The Israeli website now14 reported that 14 reservists from the Sixth Brigade were directly injured at the Arab al-Aramsha gathering center, with six of them in critical condition and the rest in mild to moderate condition.

According to the source, the attack was carried out by two drones and anti-aircraft missiles. Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the occupation sent a helicopter to evacuate the wounded from the area.

The Sixth Brigade

The Israeli occupation army allowed the publication that 14 reservists from the Sixth Brigade were directly injured at the Arab al-Aramsha gathering center, with six fighters seriously wounded, two moderately wounded, and six others with minor injuries, who were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were informed.

In the afternoon, 18 wounded were transferred from the Arab al-Aramsha settlement on the northern border to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, suffering from shrapnel and head injuries. One of the critically injured was transferred to the hospital’s general intensive care unit.

Hezbollah claims responsibility: We inflicted casualties on occupation soldiers

Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced that it targeted a military command center in northern Israel with rockets and drones. The party said in a statement posted on its website: “In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, and in response to the enemy’s assassination of a number of fighters in Ain al-Bayda and Al-Shahabiya, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance launched at 13:15 on Wednesday, 17-04-2024, a comprehensive attack with guided missiles and suicide drones on the headquarters of the newly established Military Reconnaissance Secretariat in Arab al-Aramsha, known as the ‘Community Center,’ directly hitting it and inflicting casualties among its personnel, both dead and wounded.”

The party also announced the killing of Mohammed Hussein Mustafa Shuhouri and another member without clarifying their roles, while the Amal Movement announced the killing of one of its members in Ain al-Bayda.

The attack comes after the assassinations targeting Hezbollah leaders and members yesterday in Lebanon, with the Israeli occupation army claiming responsibility for the assassination of three Hezbollah members: the commander of the coastal sector of the party and two fighters who were key operatives in the organization’s missile unit.
