Waatn-The race for the title of “Best Airport in the World” has been a bilateral affair in recent years, with Hamad International Airport in the Qatari capital, Doha, and Singapore’s Changi Airport being the main contenders.
Hamad International Airport has topped the list of the world’s best airports for 2024, surpassing its Singaporean counterpart, Changi, which had won the title 12 times in the past years, according to Skytrax, a company specialized in ranking airports, primarily based on surveys to measure customer and traveler satisfaction.
Hamad International Airport’s win this year comes after it placed second last year, while the Singaporean airport remained in the top spot.
Badr Al-Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, was quoted by Bloomberg agency as saying, “Hamad International Airport is celebrating ten years since the start of its operations this year. We are truly honored that travelers have chosen us as the best airport in the world for the third time.”
