Watan-The American billionaire Elon Musk said that TikTok should not be banned in the United States, even though such a ban could benefit his platform X. Musk tweeted from his official account on the platform, adding that doing so would violate freedom of speech and expression, which is not representative of America, according to him.
Regarding the TikTok ban, last March, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill that would force TikTok to separate from its Chinese owner under the threat of being banned in the United States.
352 lawmakers voted in favor of the proposed law, while 65 opposed it, in a rare moment of bipartisan agreement between the Democratic and Republican parties.
In my opinion, TikTok should not be banned in the USA, even though such a ban may benefit the 𝕏 platform.
Doing so would be contrary to freedom of speech and expression. It is not what America stands for.

Ban TikTok
This legislation represents the biggest threat yet to the app, which has gained immense popularity worldwide. At a time when concerns have been raised by governments and security officials about its Chinese ownership and potential ties to the Communist Party in Beijing, as reported by Al Jazeera. The fate of the bill in the Senate is still unknown.
Many prominent figures oppose taking such drastic action against an app that has around 170 million users in the United States.
President Joe Biden would need to sign the bill, officially titled the “Protecting Americans from Foreign App Adversaries Act,” for it to become law, according to the White House.
