UAE Infrastructure Failures Exposed

Watan-Scenes revealing the failure of infrastructure in the UAE have been frequent, highlighted by recent rains that fell on the country.

New scenes emerged, showing fish swimming in the streets of Dubai after heavy rains hit the city, amidst accusations of infrastructure failure in facing the weather depression.

Dubai streets and its airport were flooded following heavy rains accompanying a recent weather depression that hit the UAE.

Unprecedented rains

The National Center of Meteorology in the UAE announced that the country witnessed the highest rainfall in its history in 75 years due to the impact of the “rainy depression.”

It added that the UAE recorded the most intense rainfall within 24 hours since the beginning of climate data recording in 1949.

It pointed out that the record rainfall experienced by the UAE during the 24 hours, due to the “rainy depression,” is an exceptional event in its climate history since the beginning of climate data recording.

Dozens of videos spread on social media, showing flooded streets with vehicles, as well as the flooding of Dubai Airport, Dubai Mall, and the Dubai Metro, in addition to a major landslide in Al Ain city.

Criticism of Emirati failure

With the significant drowning scenes, tweeters directed sharp criticisms towards the UAE, stating that it has spent billions on establishing and supporting projects hostile to Arabs and Muslims, yet failed to fix its infrastructure for such climatic conditions.
