Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Emerges from Gaza Tunnels: Israeli Intelligence Confirmation

Watan-Israeli intelligence sources confirmed the accuracy of the news about the exit of Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, from the tunnels to the surface, according to the Hebrew newspaper “Yisrael Hayom”.

A Hamas leadership source revealed to the “Al-Araby Al-Jadeed” newspaper that Sinwar “is not isolated from the reality there, despite the ongoing war and Israeli intelligence operations around the clock.”

The source said, “Talk about Sinwar being isolated in the tunnels is nothing but an allegation by Netanyahu and his apparatus to cover up his failure to achieve the declared objectives in front of the Israeli public and his allies.”

The source confirmed that Sinwar “is performing his duties as the leader of the movement in the field.”

The source said that Sinwar “recently inspected areas that witnessed clashes between the resistance and the occupying army, and met some fighters of the movement above ground, not in the tunnels.”

He added that “discussions recently held between the leadership of the movement internally and externally – without specifying their nature – during which Sinwar briefed the leadership of the movement abroad on the situation of the resistance in the sector. He emphasized, with precise field numbers and reports, the strength of the resistance’s position, its steadfastness, and its ability to confront the occupying forces.”

In the same context, the source revealed that the movement alone has about 30 generals and officers of the Shin Bet who were captured on October 7th from military units and some highly sensitive military sites.

The source revealed that “these individuals are specifically in highly secure and far-reaching locations away from the hands of the occupation, and it is impossible to reach them under any circumstances.”

For his part, “Mikha Kobi,” a prominent former member of the Israeli Shin Bet, who interrogated Sinwar during his detention, said that there is no news contradicting the leak indicating that Sinwar was seen in the field, but “theoretically there is a possibility that Sinwar is taking advantage of the army withdrawing most of its forces from the sector.”
