Extremism Unleashed: Israeli Minister’s Call to Eradicate Ramadan
Watan-Israeli ministers continue their extremist statements amidst the war on Gaza, where the extremist minister in the occupation government, Amihai Eliahu, called for eradicating the month of Ramadan and not fearing the escalation of tension during it in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
Eliahu said in statements to the occupation army radio: “The so-called month of Ramadan must be eradicated, and we must eradicate our fear of this month.”
Eliahu’s call came amid warnings issued by the Israeli security establishment of possible escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem during Ramadan, due to additional restrictions on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the brutal aggression and bloody massacres in the Gaza Strip.
Who is Amihai Eliahu?
Amihai Eliahu is an Israeli politician belonging to the far-right, who bases his positions on extreme religious theories and fatwas, openly declaring hostility towards Arabs and Palestinians.

Eliahu has previously called for dropping a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip to eliminate Palestinians, and claimed that the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip is a failure.
Anti-Arab Stances
Eliahu is known for his extremist stances against Arabs in general. He described the double earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria in February 2023 as “divine justice” and likened it to the incident of drowning Pharaoh’s soldiers in the sea.
In an article in a weekly religious newsletter, he said that God “punishes all the countries surrounding Israel, which want to occupy our land and throw us into the sea.” He considered the earthquake “cleansing the world and making it better.”
