London Stabbing Incident Leaves Four Injured: Suspect Apprehended

Watan-At least four people were injured in a stabbing incident near a subway station in northeast London.

Footage circulated on social media showed a man wielding a machete in Leytonstone, near the subway station.

Residents of the area reported waking up to loud screams and then seeing a bloodied man outside their homes.

British police said in a statement that they had arrested a person who stabbed several passersby and two police officers in northeast London.

The police stated, “A man has been arrested… please follow the instructions of police officers on the ground.”

They explained that they received a report of a car crashing into a house in the “Thurlow Garden” area, and the attacker stabbing several people.

They indicated that their officers detained the suspect, noting that he is 36 years old.

Media reports stated that the police are not looking for other suspects, and terrorism is not suspected at this time.

Metro Station Closure

Transport for London announced that Hainault London Underground station was closed due to police investigations in the area.

It’s worth noting that this incident occurred at a time when most European countries are on high security alert in anticipation of any terrorist attacks.

This comes after intelligence assessments warned of the possibility of extremist groups carrying out attacks in several European countries.
