Watan-A state of panic arose aboard an Israeli flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv.
Details reveal that a flight operated by Israel’s “Israir” airline witnessed a significant panic among passengers after experiencing delays departing from Dubai to Tel Aviv due to the cancellation of their flight twice due to a technical malfunction.
During the prolonged wait for the aircraft, which ultimately remained grounded, chaos and panic prevailed among the passengers.
Israeli media published a video clip of the incident, showing tense passengers screaming at the flight crew, who did not allow them to disembark from the aircraft.
While a crew member stated that the flight would depart soon, a confused passenger exclaimed, “Soon? We’ve been here for hours.”

She added, “At 13:40, the flight was delayed for 3.5 hours, and we were taken to the gate and waited for an additional 3 hours. Then we were taken to a hotel in the desert and returned to the airport at 6:00 to board the scheduled flight at 10:00… We boarded the bus at 11:30 and waited for an hour and a half.”
She continued, “The children were terrified and bewildered. From 15:00 to 16:30, we waited on the plane, and once again there was no flight.”
During the incident, the company issued a statement saying, “Unfortunately, despite efforts to take off flight 662 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, another technical malfunction occurred.”
Company Intervention Following the Incident
The company announced the operation of a replacement aircraft from Tel Aviv to Dubai to carry out the flight.
The company stated, “Israir is doing its best to shorten waiting times in Dubai and apologizes for the significant inconvenience caused to passengers… The safety and security of passengers are the company’s top priority.”
