Watan-The occupation army withdrew from the city of Jenin and its camp in the northern West Bank early Thursday morning after a wide-scale military operation that lasted for two days.

The Israeli military operation resulted in the martyrdom of 12 Palestinians. This brings the total number of Palestinians martyred by occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank and Jerusalem to 517 since the war on the Gaza Strip began on October 7th.

Incursion into Jenin Camp

During the aggression on Jenin, the occupation forces’ machinery, from the start of their entry into the city, worked on bulldozing roads for fear of planted explosives, clearing away rubble, and causing significant damage to the city’s infrastructure.

Israeli forces killed 12 Palestinians during a two-day aggression on Jenin and its camp. Military bulldozers destroyed large parts of the streets surrounding the camp and several vehicles inside it.

The bulldozers also destroyed the “Martyr George Habash” roundabout near the Nabatat Cafe in the center of Jenin, and the Martyr Omar Nayef roundabout.

The occupation forces turned dozens of homes in the city’s neighborhoods and the camp into military posts amid violent confrontations and the sound of massive explosions.

The occupation army imposed a security cordon on Jenin camp and strict measures on citizens attempting to flee the camp, as well as on ambulances trying to reach the injured.

The occupation army reported exchanges of gunfire between its forces and resistance fighters and claimed to have confiscated military equipment and found explosive devices planted to harm its troops.

Meanwhile, the “Jenin Battalion” stated that its fighters confronted the occupation forces with weapons and managed to detonate a large number of pre-prepared explosive devices in the military vehicles.

Many celebrated the achievements of the resistance fighters in Jenin camp, particularly their success in destroying occupation vehicles.

The occupation army had started its aggression on Jenin and its camp on Tuesday, before expanding it on Wednesday, imposing a siege, raiding Palestinian homes, and storming several neighborhoods.

Escalation of violence against Palestinians

The occupation and settlers are escalating attacks and crimes against Palestinians, which has also led to the injury of around 5,000 Palestinians and the arrest of over 8,810, according to official Palestinian figures.
