Israeli Media Criticizes Martyred Egyptian Soldier Amid Rafah Shooting Incident
Egyptian soldier death

Watan-Israeli media launched a sharp attack on the Egyptian soldier Abdullah Ramadan, who was martyred during an exchange of gunfire with occupation forces at the Rafah crossing.

Israeli media claimed that the deceased Egyptian soldier had incited against Israel on his personal Facebook page.

The Israeli news outlet “bhol,” affiliated with the far-right in Israel, reported that following the burial of the Egyptian soldier in his hometown in the Fayoum Governorate in southern Egypt, posts that Ramadan had written supporting Gaza and inciting against Israel began to appear. Among them was: “Silence is an expression of impotence… silence is a disgrace.”

It added: “Now it is clear that the Egyptian soldier who opened fire had posted statements sympathizing with Gaza at the beginning of February. In one of his recent posts, he wrote: ‘O God, may complete calm prevail in Gaza. The heart is sad and the eye weeps, Gaza is near and the world is far from it, mute and blind and unable to act with manhood… silence is an expression of weakness.'”

The last thing the Egyptian soldier wrote about Gaza

Returning to the martyr’s Facebook page, it was found that the last thing he wrote was a post about the war on Gaza.

In his last post, the martyr said: “O Lord, complete calm in Gaza.”

And just minutes before that, he wrote: “Indeed, the heart is sad and the eye weeps, and we are grieved for your calamity, O Gaza. Gaza is in distress and the world is deaf, dumb, and blind, unable to give birth to manhood. Silence is the master expression of impotence.”

Martyrdom of an Egyptian soldier

The military spokesman for the Egyptian armed forces stated that the armed forces are conducting an investigation through the competent authorities regarding the shooting incident in the border strip area in Rafah, which led to the martyrdom of one of the security personnel.

Details of the incident

An Egyptian security source provided new details about the incident of the Egyptian soldier’s martyrdom in Rafah during an exchange of fire between the Egyptian and Israeli armies.

The source said in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the Egyptian soldier was martyred by an Israeli sniper’s bullet.

He added that the Egyptian forces did not initiate the shooting, contrary to what Israeli media reported, quoting sources in the occupation army, that Egyptian soldiers had started firing from Egyptian Rafah towards Israeli soldiers.
