Shocking Revelations: Bashar al-Assad’s Conspiracy Against His Father and Syrian Government

Unveiling the Schemes That Paved the Way for Assad's Rise to Power.

WatanMafhal al-Zaabi, the son of former Syrian Prime Minister Mahmoud al-Zaabi, has disclosed horrifying details regarding Bashar al-Assad’s manipulation of his father Hafez al-Assad’s health as part of a sinister plan to seize power in Syria.

According to Mafhal al-Zaabi, Hafez al-Assad began to experience a severe decline in health between 1998 and 1999 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. This forced him to take special medications to maintain his psychological balance and his ability to speak and comprehend. However, Bashar al-Assad exploited his father’s illness by tampering with his medication schedules, accelerating his health deterioration and providing himself with a golden opportunity to control the state’s levers.

During that period, began to overstep the authority of Prime Minister Mahmoud al-Zaabi, who was one of the most powerful figures in his father’s regime. Bashar intervened in governmental appointments and oil deals, prompting al-Zaabi to enter into an open conflict with him.

As Bashar’s influence grew, al-Zaabi found himself trapped within a system that was once one of its pillars, facing systematic political exclusion that started with his isolation from the position of Prime Minister, then his removal from leading the Ba’ath Party, and finally his eviction from his home, which had been a gift from Hafez al-Assad himself.

However, the conflict did not end there. Mahmoud al-Zaabi was arrested under the pretext of an investigation before being assassinated under mysterious circumstances. Authorities claimed it was a suicide, while Mafhal al-Zaabi insists it was a liquidation operation personally executed by Bashar al-Assad to eliminate one of the strongest opponents to his dominance over power.

Mahmoud al-Zaabi is considered one of the longest-serving Prime Ministers in Syrian history, holding the position for 13 years and enjoying strong support from Hafez al-Assad. Nevertheless, this did not save him from Bashar’s schemes for absolute control over governance.

This crime adds to Bashar al-Assad’s criminal record, as his brutality was not limited to suppressing opposition and the Syrian revolution but also extended to those close to him within the regime, revealing his willingness to kill even those closest to him in the pursuit of power.
