Gaza Triumphs: Netanyahu Bows in Defeat

A historic victory as Gaza withstands aggression and forces Israeli withdrawal.

Watan-After more than 15 months of a devastating war that ravaged both people and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, Gaza declares its victory in the battle of resilience against the Israeli occupation. This long-awaited day witnessed the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Strip, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s failure to achieve his military and political objectives.

The war, which began with the aim of eliminating the Palestinian resistance, ended with the occupation submitting to the terms of a ceasefire brokered through regional and international mediation. Gaza, which suffered widespread destruction, has delivered a new lesson in resilience to the world, reaffirming that the will of the people cannot be defeated.

With over 46,000 martyrs and thousands of wounded, the scars run deep in Palestinian memory. However, the Strip, where 70% of the infrastructure was destroyed, stands today as a testament to an unyielding spirit. The truce deal included a full Israeli withdrawal and the release of Palestinian prisoners, marking a significant moral victory for Gaza and its resistance.

Netanyahu, who promised his people a swift war to eradicate Hamas, emerges today as a loser, dragging behind him political and public disappointment. Meanwhile, Gaza raises the banner of victory high, affirming that the Palestinian cause remains alive in the hearts of Palestinians and freedom advocates worldwide.

As the truce takes effect, the challenges facing the people of the Strip grow, particularly in light of the urgent need for reconstruction and addressing the aftermath of the destruction. At the same time, questions remain about the occupation’s commitment to the agreements, given its long history of breaking promises.

Gaza’s victory is not only on the military front but also in bringing the Palestinian cause back to the forefront of the international stage. The cause has gained new momentum with global support, despite the betrayal of many official regimes.
