Watan-The souvenirs presented by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to the three Israeli female prisoners, who were released on Sunday as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, sparked widespread engagement on social media platforms. Observers described this move as “intelligent” within the framework of a media warfare strategy.
Israeli reports indicated that the souvenirs included a map of the Gaza Strip, photos of the prisoners during their captivity, and a certificate of appreciation.
This gesture impressed virtual world users with the ingenuity of the Al-Qassam Brigades in every detail since the Al-Aqsa Flood battle on October 7 of last year, up until the ceasefire announcement.
Commenting on the gift scene, some social media users said that Al-Qassam does not miss an opportunity to demonstrate its victory over Israel. They added that the resistance presented souvenirs to the three Israeli prisoners “after 400 days of captivity, along with a gift.”
Bloggers highlighted that with this gesture, the Al-Qassam Brigades demonstrated the moral superiority of their fighters in war and their commitment to all codes of honor in warfare, contrasting with an enemy that has targeted the young and old, stolen homes, and looted women’s clothing.
Commenters noted that this idea succeeded in attracting the attention of Arab, Western, and Hebrew media outlets to the scene of the prisoners smiling during their release and receiving their certificates, adding a new and intriguing appeal to the video as an example of thinking outside the box.
Others described the scene as legendary, pointing out that the prisoners’ faces reflected a sense of reassurance they experienced. They added that the scene conveyed to the world how Palestinians treat their captives.
Bloggers also drew attention to several aspects, including the simultaneous appearance of the Al-Qassam Brigades across the Gaza Strip, the organization, precision, and professionalism demonstrated in the appearance, delivery, and exchange process, as well as the issuance of release cards for the three prisoners in a formal and professional manner.
The cards were signed by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and a representative of the Al-Qassam Brigades on the official handover document in a professional and high-level administrative manner.
