Israeli Ceasefire Violations Continue in Gaza as Death Toll Rises

Ongoing Israeli aggression claims more lives in Gaza, with martyrs recovered from the rubble and new shooting incidents reported, while local teams work tirelessly to neutralize unexploded ordnance.

Watan-Violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli army continued, with several new shooting incidents reported. The Ministry of Health announced the recovery of additional bodies of martyrs from under the rubble.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that 48 martyrs were brought to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including 37 recovered from the rubble and 11 newly killed individuals, along with 80 injuries over the past 48 hours.

It added that the total death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 47,354 martyrs and 111,563 injuries since October 7, 2023. A number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and in areas unreachable by rescue and civil defense teams.

The Red Crescent teams reported on Monday that they retrieved 10 decomposed bodies from various locations along Al-Rashid Street in Gaza. The street is commonly used by citizens returning on foot from displacement areas in the south of the Gaza Strip to the north.

On the ground, an Israeli tank opened fire Tuesday morning on a group of people returning to their homes near Khalil Al-Noubani School in the southern part of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

Additionally, Israeli forces renewed their shooting operations along the borders of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, and in several neighborhoods and towns near the border in the area.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that Israeli forces fired at one of its ambulances in Rafah. The organization stated that the vehicle came under fire from Israeli snipers while performing an urgent mission in the Tel Al-Sultan area west of Rafah.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s Government Media Office announced that police teams successfully neutralized dozens of unexploded remnants left by the Israeli occupation across all governorates in the Gaza Strip.

The office highlighted the intensive efforts made by these teams over the past days to remove unexploded ordnance and secure residential areas.

It noted that these efforts have reduced potential risks to civilian lives, particularly children, who are often exposed to such remnants while playing in affected areas. These actions are part of the government’s emergency plan to ensure the safety of citizens and restore stability to affected regions, in full coordination with relevant authorities and local institutions.
