Tunisia and Algeria Refuse to Host Deported Palestinian Prisoners from Recent Exchange Deal

Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar Express Willingness to Host Released Prisoners Amid Ongoing Negotiations with Other Countries.

Watan-The Palestinian radio station Ajyal reported, citing a source described as private, that Tunisia and Algeria refused to host the deported prisoners who were recently released as part of the prisoner exchange deal between the Israeli occupation and the Hamas movement.

According to details provided, Egypt has agreed to keep all the prisoners in its custody until countries willing to host some of them are found.

Egypt also expressed its willingness to complete the procedures for prisoners affiliated with the Fatah movement and to host them throughout their period of deportation.

Turkey has also shown readiness to host Palestinian prisoners from Jerusalem who belong to Hamas, with the possibility of hosting 50 of them.

Conversely, both Tunisia and Algeria were approached to host a number of prisoners but ultimately refused to accept any of them.

The same source mentioned that negotiations are ongoing with other countries, including Indonesia and Iran, regarding the hosting of the remaining prisoners.

Ajyal radio also noted that negotiations on hosting the prisoners are taking place with Hamas, not with Egypt, and that Qatar may also host some of the released prisoners.
