Hamas Asserts Palestinian Resilience and Commitment to Stay on Their Land

The Movement Condemns Trump's Remarks as Racist and an Attempt at Ethnic Cleansing to Eliminate the Palestinian Cause

Watan-The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has reiterated its rejection of statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip under the pretext of reconstruction.

Hamas described Trump’s remarks as racist and an invitation to ethnic cleansing aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and denying the Palestinian people’s inalienable national rights.

The movement asserted that any plan to deport Palestinians from Gaza would fail and would be met with a unified Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic stance rejecting all displacement schemes.

Trump, speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One, stated that he was committed to “buying and owning” the Gaza Strip, claiming that there was nothing left to return to in Gaza and that it was completely unsafe, referring to the destruction caused by Israeli airstrikes.

On February 4, during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Trump revealed his administration’s intention to take control of Gaza after forcibly displacing all its Palestinian residents to other countries.

Since January 25, Trump has been promoting a plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan. Both countries have rejected the proposal, along with other Arab states and regional and international organizations.
