Israeli Media: Netanyahu Tries to Obstruct the Deal, but Mediators Will Rectify the Situation

Hamas Delays Prisoner Release, Citing Israeli Violations, While Netanyahu Faces Accusations of Sabotaging the Agreement.

Watan-The fate of the remaining prisoners in Gaza has dominated discussions in Israeli media, with speculation over whether new prisoners will be released next Saturday after the resistance announced a delay in handovers until further notice, citing Israel’s violation of the agreement’s terms.

According to Amit Asa, a former senior official in the Shin Bet (Shabak), Hamas is increasing pressure inside Israel, knowing that Israeli public opinion has become a major force pressuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at this moment.

Asa stated that Israel must act wisely, as Hamas will not release all prisoners by noon on Saturday, despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s request.

Netanyahu’s Attempts to Disrupt the Deal

Israeli media have reported on what they describe as Netanyahu’s efforts to obstruct the deal, hinting at a return to war and refusal to proceed with the next phase of the agreement.

Alon Ben David, a military analyst for Channel 13, stated that Hamas will never adhere to the deal when it hears Netanyahu declaring that he has no intention of negotiating the second phase or withdrawing from the Philadelphi Corridor by the agreed deadline.

However, former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman claimed that Hamas still wants to continue negotiations on the second phase and that mediators have enough time to fix and organize the situation.
