UAE Accused of Using Humanitarian Conference to Conceal Role in Sudan’s War

Sudanese Minister Condemns Abu Dhabi’s Alleged Support for Militias While Hosting Aid Summit.

Watan-The United Arab Emirates has resorted to a blatant ploy to whitewash its crimes and inhumane violations by fueling the ongoing civil war in Sudan—now approaching two years—through organizing a humanitarian conference to support the Sudanese people.

Sudanese Minister of Culture and Information Khalid Al-Aysar commented on the conference, stating that the UAE “plays a role that contradicts all the humanitarian values it has been rallying those deprived of will and conscience for, both internally and externally.”

Al-Aysar added, “The Abu Dhabi government sometimes speaks about its support for those affected by the war, which it ignited in Sudan by supplying militias with the latest weapons and aircraft and showering them with money. It has reached such depths of failure and inhumanity that it relentlessly pursues its goals in the shadows.”

Sudanese Minister Accuses UAE of Fueling War and Whitewashing Crimes

He explained that this was done by the UAE financing the recruitment of mercenaries from various nationalities and ethnicities, including from South American countries, to Sudan so they could “kill, loot, rape, and displace the Sudanese people.”

He continued, “Yesterday, the Abu Dhabi government gathered under its wing a manufactured crowd in Addis Ababa with suspicious motives under the title: ‘The Humanitarian Conference to Support Sudan’—a seemingly noble humanitarian call, but in reality, one filled with malice and satanic deceit.”

He added that Abu Dhabi “has once again begun speaking about the need to provide food and medicine to the victims of war—this war that it wickedly fueled in Sudan.”

Sudan has rejected the UAE’s call for a ceasefire, accusing Abu Dhabi of supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

Sudanese Minister Warns UAE to End Its Interference

He then issued a warning: “The Abu Dhabi government must understand that the Sudanese people do not need its support and will not accept its attempts to whitewash its inhumane actions. All they want is for it to lift its hands off Sudan and stop its practices, which lack compassion, mercy, and the spirit of old brotherhood. These truths have become evident to all Sudanese, as it is the one that ignited the war and managed affairs in a way that exacerbated the conflict in Sudan.”

He emphasized that “the Abu Dhabi government must understand that the Sudanese people distinguish between its official stance in supporting militias and the positions of some of its leaders in other emirates.”

He concluded, “All the Sudanese people want is for the conspirators to repent to their Lord and leave Sudan alone, so that perhaps God may grant the country an escape from the calamities of these devious, wicked interventions, which bear no relation to any human, moral, or religious values. And God’s will shall prevail.”

It is worth noting that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) praised the conference, which was also organized in cooperation between the UAE, the African Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and Ethiopia.
