Hamas Blames Israel for Prisoners' Deaths, While 25 Palestinian Detainees Set for Release

Watan-On the 33rd day of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the resistance in the Strip handed over the bodies of four Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross, while Israeli Army Radio announced that around 25 Palestinian prisoners would be released.

Al-Qassam Brigades’ military spokesperson, Abu Ubaida, stated that the bodies of the Bibas family and prisoner Oded Lifshitz would be handed over.

Netanyahu Faces Backlash Over Prisoner Deaths

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Thursday as “a difficult and sad day for Israel, as we will recover four of our fallen prisoners.”

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that the Israeli army killed its own prisoners by bombing their detention sites and blamed the “Nazi government” of Israel for repeatedly obstructing the exchange agreement.

Hamas added, “The criminal Netanyahu is shedding tears over his prisoners’ bodies in a blatant attempt to evade responsibility for their deaths in front of his public.”

Hamas Mourns Tubas Martyrs Amid PA-Israel Security Coordination Criticism

In the West Bank, Hamas mourned the martyrs of Tubas, who were killed in a clash with Israeli forces after a house in Al-Far’a refugee camp was besieged.

The movement noted that the assassination operation coinciding with a wave of arrests by Palestinian Authority security forces against resistance fighters highlights the grave danger of security coordination between the occupation and the PA, which has dared to shed Palestinian blood.
