Kuwaiti Fast-Food Restaurant Takes Stand for Palestine: Permanently Allocates Profits Amid Global Boycotts
Watan-A Kuwaiti fast-food restaurant has announced the permanent allocation of a portion of its profits to Palestine until the liberation of the occupied territories.
The restaurant shared an image on its Instagram account, stating, “Because Palestine is a cause… the decision to donate 5% of the company’s profits stands until Palestine is liberated.”
This move comes at a time when international fast-food restaurants face widespread boycott campaigns due to their support for the occupation.
Kuwait is known for actively participating in popular boycott campaigns, showing solidarity with Gaza and condemning the brutal wars waged by the occupying army.

Since the early days of the conflict, an advertising campaign calling for the boycott of products from global companies supporting Israeli occupation has been launched in Kuwait.
The campaign, displayed through videos and posters featuring images of children, poses the question: “Did you kill a Palestinian child today?” accompanied by the hashtag “Boycott.”
The advertising campaign has received significant attention on social media, with activists praising it as an example of solidarity with Gaza.
Kuwait has also witnessed spontaneous and organized calls for boycotts targeting businesses and retail chains known for their support of Israeli occupation, aimed at supporting the resilience of Gaza’s residents and the Palestinian people.
McDonald’s is part of the boycott campaigns
The movement began with the famous American restaurant chain “McDonald’s” in Kuwait, following its support for the occupying army.
In response, McDonald’s in Kuwait announced a donation of $250,000 to Gaza in an attempt to mitigate the backlash.
