Watan-The Yemeni Houthi group announced on Sunday that it had targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport with a “Palestine-2” hypersonic ballistic missile, marking the fourth attack claimed by the group in the past three days.
The spokesperson for the group’s armed forces, Yahya Saree, stated that they targeted Ben Gurion Airport in occupied Jaffa, claiming the operation was successful and caused a shutdown of air traffic at the airport for more than half an hour.
Saree affirmed that the group is “continuing to support the oppressed Palestinian people and to disrupt Israeli air navigation until the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted.”
This latest strike on the Israeli airport is the fourth claimed attack within 72 hours, following the group’s announcement early Saturday that it had targeted the airport for the third time within 48 hours.
On Sunday morning, the Israeli army said it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen before it penetrated Israeli airspace. Two Israelis were reportedly injured—one moderately, the other seriously—during air raid sirens in Tel Aviv (central Israel).
In a statement posted on its X (Twitter) account, the Israeli army said it intercepted the missile before it entered Israeli airspace, and that sirens had been activated according to standard protocol.
Shortly before, sirens had sounded in several cities and towns across the greater Tel Aviv area.

Flight Disruptions at Ben Gurion Airport
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, takeoffs and landings were halted at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, and some incoming flights were forced to remain airborne after the air raid sirens went off.
Confrontation in the Red Sea
Regarding the American attacks on Yemen, Saree stated that the group’s forces had engaged for hours using missiles and drones against the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and several warships in the Red Sea, though he provided no further details.
He emphasized that the group “will continue to confront the brutal and criminal American aggression and respond to escalation with escalation.”
Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered his military to launch a major offensive against the Houthis in Yemen, and later threatened to completely eliminate the group.
