Inside Queen Rania’s Private Office: A Glimpse into Her Royal Workday
In sync with her 53rd birthday celebrated on August 31st, specialized accounts dedicated to publishing photos of the Hashemite family have been releasing previously unseen images from Queen Rania’s archive. These photos, taken inside her private office in 1999, provide a glimpse into how Queen Rania spends her day and conducts her work.
One of the photos showcases Queen Rania seated at her private desk in the Royal Palace, engrossed in a phone call. Behind her, the office is adorned with a picture of her husband, King Abdullah II, and their eldest son, Prince Hussein.
Another image, taken on the same day but from a different angle, captures Queen Rania during her phone call, deeply engrossed in reading and reviewing several reports and files spread across her desk.
Accounts dedicated to the royal family also recently shared a rare childhood photo of Queen Rania. In the black and white image, a roughly 6-year-old Rania is seen in the arms of her late father, Dr. Faisal Sedki Yassin, who passed away in May of the previous year. The young Rania is seen in a dress with broad straps, her short golden hair framing her face, and a broad smile lighting up the picture.
Queen Rania was born on August 31, 1970. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo in 1991, as per her official website. She married King Abdullah II, then a prince, on June 10, 1993. He assumed his constitutional powers as the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on February 7, 1999.
