Betrayal in Gaza: Collaborator’s Espionage Led to Deadly Strikes Against His Own People

Palestinian resistance reveals espionage operation that led to civilian deaths; collaborator supplied intelligence via drones and was executed for high treason.

Watan-In one of the most shocking and dangerous stories to emerge from Gaza, the Palestinian resistance has revealed details of the execution of a collaborator with the Israeli occupation, whose betrayal resulted in the deaths and injuries of many civilians and fighters. The man had provided Israeli intelligence with precise information about both security and civilian locations within the Gaza Strip.

The collaborator, a 48-year-old man, was recruited by the Israeli intelligence agency in 2020 after being stopped at the Erez border crossing. He was blackmailed by an Israeli officer, who offered to renew his work permit in the occupied territories in exchange for information. From that point on, he became a tool for the occupation, following their instructions in return for money.

Investigations revealed that he received Israeli SIM cards and money via quadcopter drones, which allowed him to carry out high-risk espionage missions. These included filming security forces and police in public markets, and pinpointing the locations of shelters and schools—many of which were later bombed, leading to the deaths of numerous civilians, including women and children.

Silent War and Revolutionary Justice

His operations did not stop there. He was tasked with filming funeral processions of martyrs, spying on the movements of resistance fighters, and spreading rumors among the population to stir unrest and turn civilians against the resistance factions. Gaza’s security apparatus classified his actions as high treason, and he was executed as a result.

A resistance security officer confirmed that the Israeli occupation is intensifying its efforts to recruit collaborators within Palestinian society by exploiting the blockade, economic hardship, and blackmail tactics. Speaking to the “Al-Haris” platform, he stressed that revolutionary justice will be applied to anyone proven to be involved, emphasizing that national security violations will not be tolerated.

Gaza’s security forces issued warnings about Israeli methods, including posing as charitable organizations and offering suspicious aid as a means of trapping Palestinians into betrayal. Authorities also confirmed the seizure of advanced spying equipment and ongoing investigations with suspects across multiple areas.

The story of this defeated collaborator has brought renewed attention to the silent intelligence war that the Palestinian resistance is waging behind the scenes—an unseen front where a single breach can cost many lives.
